My story as a Software Developer
This will be a walk through of my career as a Software Developer. I have been in the field of IT for last 5 years which were incredible for me in terms of learning and exposure which I gathered.
The tech-stack in which I got my hands dirty were
- Front-end technologies like React, Angular, Meteor
- Back-end technologies like NodeJS, DBs like Couchbase, MongoDB, Dynamodb.
- AWS and other cutting edge technologies
I have seen so many people who say that they love to do some specific set of tasks like working on Front-end technologies but not back-end and vice-versa.
My take on this is that as a developer a person should grab the opportunity to learn the technologies which come his/her way. Be it front-end or back-end or to be specific if you get and opportunity to work as an Full Stack Developer try to give your best though you might face road blocks in terms of technical tasks in dealing with.
As a budding developer it is really important that you get a good mentor in your journey who will guide you to become the best of the best in Software Development.
I was lucky enough to have some smart people as my mentors in my journey as a developer. I have learnt many things in early phase of my career. Some of the areas I can put down in terms of learnings are :-
- Handling pressure of deliverables
- Learning technologies at a pace
- Team bonding
- Leadership skills
- Communication with clients
- Networking with collegues
I believe that hard work pays off if you are willing to put in some efforts, be it programming or any other profession.
